President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday attended the 10th cityhood anniversary celebration of Bacoor, Cavite.
During his speech, Marcos thanked Bacoor City and the province of Cavite for supporting him in the recently concluded election.
“Burger kayong lahat sa akin,” said Marcos in his first public engagement after he was proclaimed the winner in the presidential race.
The ‘burger kayo sa akin’ slogan was used by Vice President-elect Sara Duterte during the campaign to counter the cancel culture or those rejecting people who were supporting the Marcos-Duterte tandem.
According to Marcos, Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado and her husband Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. were not expecting him to attend the event.
Marcos garnered 1.09 million votes in Cavite while Vice President Leni Robredo received less than 487,000 votes.
