Toni Gonzaga and a number of celebrities could soon hold positions in the Department of Tourism (DOT) under the incoming Marcos administration, Politiko has learned.
An Iskooper said newly elected Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado and businessman-host Tim Yap might be appointed to the DOT.
Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid is also reportedly being considered for a DOT post.
Gonzaga is a staunch supporter of presumptive president Ferdinand Marcos Jr. She performed at several of his campaign sorties.
Politiko earlier reported that Gonzaga’s husband, director Paul Soriano, might be appointed to a position at the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
